Why plunger pumps for high pressure
Plunger pumps displace a fixed volume each stroke, so output stays accurate as discharge pressure rises. Solid ceramic plungers and energized PTFE/FFKM seals resist wear and keep sealing at pressure, which is why plunger designs are the standard for high pressure chemical metering.
Rate and pressure by plunger size
Smaller plungers trade rate for pressure. Choose the plunger that covers your discharge pressure with margin, then set the dose with speed control.
| Plunger size | Max rate per head | Max pressure |
|---|---|---|
| 1/4" | 17 GPD | 6,000 PSI |
| 3/8" | 37.5 GPD | 3,000 PSI |
| 1/2" | 70 GPD | 1,250 PSI |
| 1-1/2" | 600 GPD | 300 PSI |
Accurate dosing modes
- Variable speed continuous injection
- Batch injection at scheduled times
- PPM mode to hold a target concentration
- Dual-rate control for dual-head pumps with Nunchucks
Built to last
316 stainless steel wetted parts, super duplex suction ball, ceramic discharge ball, and brushless motors make these pumps suited to continuous service in the field.

Frequently asked questions
What is the maximum pressure?
Up to 6,000 PSI on the 1/4 inch plunger.
What is a chemical metering pump?
A metering pump delivers a precisely controlled, repeatable volume of chemical, independent of discharge pressure. Plunger pumps are the standard choice for high pressure.
Can I get a higher rate?
The 1-1/2 inch plunger delivers up to 600 gallons per day per head at up to 300 PSI.
